Core Values
Core values are important because they shape the way we think, live, lead, and relate to others. They serve as an inner compass, guiding our decisions, behaviors, and priorities in our lives. When we live and work in alignment with our values, we create greater authenticity, trust, consistency, and purpose, allowing us to build stronger relationships, make more meaningful contributions, and live with greater clarity and integrity. These are Jenny’s core values that she tries to live by each day.
Compassion: She shows compassion to all she meets, with love, kindness, and empathy.
Honesty: She is honest and transparent in all her dealings.
Respect: She treats others with dignity and respect. Everyone has a life story to tell, and everyone has their own challenges to face, so why make their lives harder than they already are?
Integrity: She acts ethically with a strong moral code and consistency in both words and actions.
Simplicity: She keeps things simple and uncomplicated. She believes in letting her ‘yes’ be her ‘yes’ and her ‘no’ be her ‘no’.
Trust: She trusts that her life is guided by something far greater than any human could ever imagine, and for her, this essence is encapsulated in ‘God’, who is the ultimate form of Love.
For a long time, I tried to figure out how I could best help bring more love and healing into the world. People would tell me to think smaller, choose a niche, define my target audience, and follow a more conventional path. While their advice came from experience and good intentions, the more I listened to everyone else instead of my own inner guidance, the more stuck I became.
I kept asking myself, ‘What do I really have to offer?’
Over time, I realized the answer had always been there. I wanted to help people reconnect with themselves, heal from within, and learn to love themselves no matter what.
I published my first book, 12 Steps to Loving You, and later facilitated workshops around self-love and healing. Those experiences taught me something important, healing is not about having all the answers perfectly figured out before you begin. Sometimes it is about simply being willing to start.
What truly held me back for years was fear. Fear of letting go of the past. Fear of stepping away from the identity I had built during my career as an HR Executive and Director. Fear of choosing a path that felt deeply meaningful to me, but completely different from the life I had known before.
Like many people, I have experienced grief, loss, heartbreak, fear, guilt, joy, peace, and love. I know how heavy emotional pain can become when we carry it for too long. But I also know it is possible to heal, grow, and create a different way of living.
That is why Wellness from Within exists.
I believe we all have the capacity to heal, to break unhealthy patterns, and to reconnect with who we truly are beneath the fear, conditioning, and expectations of the world around us. Sometimes all it takes is a willingness to see yourself differently, to open your heart again, and to believe that a more peaceful, meaningful life is possible.
We are all works in progress. The road is rarely perfect or straightforward, but every step toward healing, self-love, and inner peace matters.
Have you heard the hit song – We Are the World? It hit home for me when it came out on March 7, 1985, and it hits home for me now. It starts with these words:
‘There comes a time when we heed a certain call, when the world must come together as one. There are people dying, oh, and it’s time to lend a hand, to life – the greatest gift of all’ ….
If you are alive, you have been gifted with the gift of life. It is my prayer that if you need someone to stand alongside you, that you will find that today.
My Professional Background
As an HR and People Expert, and former HR Executive and Director across multiple industries, I coach clients who want to grow beyond traditional business academia. That is why I focus on both personal and professional wellness. Personal Wellness supports personal growth, healing, and self-development, while Professional Wellness helps individuals achieve the goals they have set for themselves in their careers and businesses. I believe every person has the ability to unlock their full potential when bias and prejudice are set aside. My hope is to continue serving as a visionary, coach, trainer, and mentor to those seeking greater clarity, balance, and direction in both their personal and professional lives.
Great leadership is never about personal status or ego. True leaders help others unlock their potential, create environments where people feel free to be themselves, and build inclusive, empowered teams. Leadership is ultimately about serving the collective whole and helping others succeed.
My corporate and manufacturing background, expertise, and knowledge are embedded across all facets of Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, and Occupational Health. My passion has always been centered on protecting and supporting the wellbeing of both employers and employees. This is the work I dedicated myself to for decades, and I now bring that knowledge, experience, and expertise into my own business.
My mission is to champion fairness, inclusion, and ethical success at every level of business, and to help, inspire, and empower executives, leaders, managers, and employees, wherever they are and whoever they are in business, to build ethically sustainable businesses and fulfilling careers.
We spend a significant part of our lives at work, and our personal and professional worlds are deeply connected. Developing the right mindset to succeed in both is therefore essential. It is possible to thrive in the workplace while remaining fulfilled, balanced, and ethical in the process.

No matter what task you give to Jennifer, she will accomplish it! Her excellent demeanor and “get it done” attitude is what really makes Jennifer stand out. She is a person who has two numbers….0 and 100; 0 is for anything that’s negative, unneeded, wistful, or needless consumption; 100 if for attaining goals, meeting challenging situations, winning and just plain making it happen. I’ve witnessed Jen’s positive work attitude during my short time in South Africa and her intelligence as well. But I have to tell a short story…
I’m an avid hiker, and as such being in Cape Town South Africa, I wanted to hike Table Mountain. Jen agreed to go with me on the hike, but after we started the uphill climb, it was quickly apparent that she didn’t really understand how challenging this hike would be. Jen was lagging in the back of the trail. Nonetheless, she wasn’t about to let this huge mountain defeat her. Moreover, she immediately asked for help. I simply stated…”You’re hiking the entire trail instead of only the next 10 or 20 yards!” She quickly understood and adapted. The next thing I knew Jen, was leading the hike. This is a testament to her approach on just about everything in life.
As a result of witnessing both her professional work ethic and physical determination, I readily recommend Jennifer for just about any professional business challenge. You can place a bet that Jennifer will accomplish the task assigned with stellar results. If you want a winner around you, be sure to keep Jennifer close by.
(Note: Glenn Ford was my mentor while I was studying ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence), through the ISO University in the USA. (I was still in South Africa, and studying online.) Glenn then came to South Africa for a short stint to help me with the launching of ACE in our company nationwide. It was an absolute honor to work with someone with such a high work ethic, and with someone who is able to effortlessly show you the best way to overcome obstacles and challenges within the working environment.)
Testimonial - Steven Barry, former Regional Managing Director, Chubb Security, RSA
Jennifer reported to me during my tenure at Chubb Security. In her role as Regional Human Resources Manager she was responsible for all HR and employee support activities within a very complex business with a large and diverse labour force.
I found her a pleasure to work with, she tackled all assignments with dedication and purpose.
Her interpersonal skills are exemplary and appreciated by everyone she works with.
Though she was an asset to our HR Department, Jennifer was also helpful in many other areas of our business, and through this she broadened her horizon and was able to add value in other areas of the business.
With her motivation and knowledge, Jennifer would bring a wealth of expertise to any organization.

I have known Jennifer since 2008 in my capacity as Company Occupational Medical Practitioner for Robertson and Caine, where she worked as the Human Resources Manager (side note: and was a Senior Manager in the Company).
I am a medical graduate of the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and have been in medical practice since 1983. I consult at Robertson and Caine on a sessional basis as their Occupational Medical Practitioner twice a week.
Jennifer has been instrumental in helping establish an Occupational Health and Safety service. This has required determination and perseverance and has benefited the employees and helped the company comply with legal requirements.
I have found Jennifer to be a caring and compassionate person, able to balance the wellbeing of the employees with the needs of the company. She has dealt with difficult Occupational Health related human resource matters with clarity and decisiveness.
It has been a pleasure to work with someone who is so dedicated and committed. I will miss working with her, and wish her well with any future ventures.
(Note: We worked together for 8 years.)
