Be supportive. Encourage and support fellow members without criticism, cynicism, or judgement. We are all here to learn together.
Share generously. Your experiences may be exactly what another student needs to hear about to help them navigate the complex corridors of business and careers.
Be courteous and constructive. The golden rule applies – you are asked to treat others as you would have them treat you.
Show respect. Group classes or online meetings are not a place to spam, promote, or be offensive. Unkind behavior will not be tolerated in this space and anyone who disregards these guidelines will be removed for the safety of all participants.
Come Prepared. Members should be prepared when they enter online classes or meetings.
Show Up On Time. Members should show up on time, to minimize disruptions.
Dress Appropriately. Classes and meetings will be recorded and it is not our intent to offend anyone in the way we present ourselves.
Mute the Microphone. Mute your microphone when joining, and during, the class.
Turn the Camera On. There might be times that this is not possible, and that is okay, but if you are able to turn the camera on, it makes it easier to form relationships with other members.
Minimize Distractions. Keep all distractions to a minimum, and it is advised that you switch off devices that would interfere with your class immersion and meeting participation. (Unless, of course, you are a doctor on call and need to be available 24/7, or something similar.)
Don’t abuse the chat feature. We will monitor the chat feature, and if it is being abused, we will switch it off during classes and meetings. However, it is a great way to connect with one another, but again, no spam or advertising of any sort is permitted.
Pay Attention. It is important to pay attention in classes and meetings, but if you need to step out for a few minutes, you will have a limited time to watch the replay.
Thank you for adhering to the class and meeting rules. This is for your safety, and the safety of others.
Online Etiquette rules may be amended from time to time.
